Assistant Director

Welcome to the HMUN India Assistant Director application. We are looking for applicants who demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Model United Nations and a passion for debate. The job of an AD is to assist the Director in the ways that they see fit. Tasks will include observing unmoderated caucuses, taking notes during speeches, running the committee tracker, writing down motions, timing speeches, and anything else the director needs. Assistant Directors are responsible for aiding committee Directors in upholding proper Parliamentary Procedure, managing committee logistics, observing debate, and answering delegate questions.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. To be eligible for consideration, you must be either in Grades 11-12 or years 1-2 of an undergraduate university.

  2. There is an applicable fee of INR 26,500 per head for all AD’s, which is inclusive of accommodation and meals. Please note that accommodation will be provided at the conference venue or a nearby hotel, depending on availability. In addition, they are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel to and from their hometown. No waivers or aid can be provided for this fee.

  3. All ADs must stay in the accomadation provided to ensure continuity of roles and accessibility.

  4. All ADs must submit a Liability Waiver to attend the conference, and all those under 18 must submit a signed NOC from their parents stating their permission to attend the conference


Applications open until June 3rd 2026 - 11:59 PM IST.

No late applications will be accepted. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. 

In the days following the application deadline, interview invitations will be extended to candidates selected as finalists.

If you do not hear from us, likely that your application has not been shortlisted. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we will unfortunately not be able to respond to individual status queries. However, all shortlisted candidates will receive the necessary information and next steps directly from the conference team.
