Beyond MUN
HMUN India’s Got Talent
Get ready to shine beyond committee sessions, because one of the most anticipated traditions of Harvard Model United Nations India is back and it's time to unleash your inner star. From soulful singing to jaw-dropping dance moves, from instrumental brilliance to comedy, poetry, or even that quirky skill you have been waiting to show off — this is your Delegation’s moment.
At HMUN India, we know that there's so much more to our delegates than what happens in committee. Behind those powerful speeches and sharp arguments are dancers, singers, musicians, and performers just waiting for their moment. This is your chance to let loose and be part of a night that’s all about coming together as a community.
Speaker Series
A unique feature of HMUN India has been to host distinguished individuals from diverse backgrounds to engage with the delegates. These changemakers serve as a rich source of inspiration for delegates to create a positive change in their communities. Inspiring individuals in the various fields of Sustainability Advocates, Policymakers, Diplomats, Journalists, Politicians, Bureaucrats have graced the HMUN India stage over the years to conduct enlightening interactions with the delegates. Visit our YouTube channel to listen to their sessions from Harvard MUN India Conferences.
Some of the speakers that we have engaged over the previous editions of HMUN India are:
Webinars
Before delegates step into committee rooms, their journey begins online. HMUN India’s webinars are designed to prepare students not just to participate, but to excel. Led by the Secretariat and Committee Directors, these sessions break down procedure, research methods, strategy, and substantive expectations, ensuring that every delegate arrives confident and well equipped.
More than just technical briefings, the webinars create an early sense of community. Delegates interact with leadership, clarify doubts, and begin thinking critically about their agendas weeks before the conference begins. By the time the gavel falls, preparation is no longer overwhelming, it is intentional, structured, and shared.
Social Events
At Harvard Model United Nations India, the conference experience extends well beyond committee sessions. DJ nights, Delegates’ Dance, Directors’ Dance, themed evenings, and interactive socials have become defining moments of the conference calendar. What began with a single Global Village in 2012 has grown into a vibrant social culture that is now inseparable from the HMUN India experience.
These events create space for delegates to step out of formal roles and simply connect. Music replaces motions, laughter replaces lobbying, and the room fills with energy long after debate ends. The social element is not an add on; it is integral to what makes HMUN India memorable, balancing intellectual intensity with celebration, friendship, and shared moments that last far beyond the closing gavel.
Advisors Connect
Advisors Connect is designed as a parallel space for Faculty Advisors to engage meaningfully beyond supervision. Through curated workshops, leadership dialogues, and discussions on pedagogy and global education trends, educators exchange insights, challenges, and best practices with peers from leading institutions across the country.
Alongside structured sessions, Advisors Connect also creates moments to pause, reflect, and build lasting professional relationships. By valuing both intellectual exchange and personal connection, HMUN India ensures that advisors leave not only with renewed perspectives on education and leadership, but also as part of a wider community committed to shaping the next generation.
